Typhoon Studios Inc. was a Canadian video game designer based in Montreal. It was started by Alex Hutchinson, Yassine Riahi, and also Reid Schneider in early 2017 as well as acquired by Google in December 2019, ending up being part of Stadia Games and also Enjoyment (SG&E). After releasing its initial game, Journey to the Savage Planet, in 2020, Typhoon Studios was closed down along with SG&E in February 2021.
Typhoon studios have nothing to report yet.
The Nintendo Switch has developed into an oasis for all Indie developers in the industry in the (almost three years in which he was published. Many smaller productions are very successful on the hybrid platform of Nintendo. However, there is a few large indie titles, which are characterized by a lack of system support. Such a game is the recently published action adventure title for the first person reise to the wild planet.
Since there has been a lot of praise since the start before a few weeks ago, some wonder if the game will eventually find the way to switch. We have made this question recently when we responded to the industrial veterinary Alex Hutchinson - co-developer of the Typhoon Studios and Creative Director of the game.
Hutchinson shared us that the developers have not announced nothing when it came to a switch port, but it ist something they examine before they comment on the platform a perfect fit for the game. We hope that this is more likely to be more concrete earlier than later, because _ trip to the wild planet_ is really one of these (many) games that would be perfect for the switch.
Our complete interview with Hutchinson will soon be live, so it remains the way to read the whole thing. In the same interview, he also talked to us about the next generation hardware, and why he considers cloud streaming for much more exciting, as far as the impact on development is concerned. Read more about that here.
