Mass Effect 5 could lose its RPG soul if this liara

With the publication of the teaser trailer for Mass Effect 5, fans are enthusiastic about the view of returning to this beloved universe and being able to explore all the complicated and fascinating worlds, the bioware. It is no surprise that the fan base analyzes every small detail and speculates what it can do. One question of the fans is: "When will we play?" Could Shepard celebrate a triumphal return? Maybe we continue where we stopped at the Ryders in Andromeda? Or could Liara be the playable character in Mass Effect 5?

The trailer shows a now very aged Liara, which cancel a piece of an N7 helmet while standing on a dead reaker, which means that the end of the destructive is most likely a canon over the control and synthetical ends that took place in Mass Effect 3. But before we deal with why Liara is a leading candidate for the Star of Mass Effect 5, let us exclude some alternatives - and be warned that spoilers for previous games follow.

Since Liara is much older in this trailer, the idea that Shepard returns is unlikely, since Shepard would be dead at this time, regardless of whether they would have managed to survive the events of the end of destruction. There is cryoschlaf and other alternatives that exist in the Mass Effect universe, something that I personally hope that Bioware uses it. I would be overjoyed if Shepard came back and the evil being who is trying to destroy the universe this time steps into the butt. However, this is another topic and seems to be unlikely in Mass Effect 5.

Then you have the Ryder siblings over there in Andromeda. I could imagine that we will get control of them for the next game, since they both live in the same era as Liara and tell unfinished stories. After all, they spent 600 years to travel to the Andromeda universe, which means that Liara died while traveling through the dark space. If we were one of the Ryder siblings, the game would probably play in Andromeda, which means that the trailer with Liara would be quite irrelevant because the majority of the action would not take place in the Milky Way. If you take into account the lukewarm reception of Mass Effect Andromeda and the Ryder-Zwillingen at the start, it is highly unlikely that Bioware will consider this route for the fifth part.

This is where a theory comes into play that Liara is the new player figure for Mass Effect 5. This is very detailed about this by 'Herrhulthen', a YouTuber that makes videos about the Mass Effect series. Since Liara is the central figure of the teaser trailer, it is not difficult to understand why many would speculate that Liara would be the player figure for the next part of the franchise. Liara is a character that lives thousands of years and has connections to the Andromeda universe, which makes it the perfect container to bridge the gap between the two universes.

In his video, Herrhulthen also points out that Liara was always the companion with the greatest act that is going on throughout the trilogy, she is also the only companion in addition to Ashley to take away. Liara is put under great pressure to players throughout the series, a clear sign that bioware loves their character and wants them to feel the same. Liara is the one who harbors Shepard's body and gives him Cerberus for the Lazarus project, and she becomes the shadow broker, one of the most powerful beings in the Milky Way. Ultimately, Liara is involved in almost every important moment of the series. So it is completely plausible that it would make a game in which it is the focus of attention. But that leaves the question of adaptation and creating a unique character for the players in role -playing.

Something that Herrhulthen appeals to in his video when Liara is the main character, does that mean that Mass Effect is no longer a RPG? Mass Effect has always had a big focus on the choice of the player and the ability to shape Shepard as we think it is right with RPG elements, which makes it unique to play through. Liara is a figure with a given background that takes away the adaptation and RPG element, which is so important for the Mass Effect universe-or at least restricts it.

That's why, Herrhulthen and I both come to the same conclusion: It is highly unlikely that Liara would be the playable character for Mass Effect 5. Just as many elements that make up Mass Effect would be thrown on the edge, whereby the main thing is to create character and the structure of a character that is unique for everyone, simply does not seem plausible. The role -playing game has and will always be the focus of Mass Effect, so it would make no sense for bioware to push this aside and make Liara a protagonist, as many fans suggest. I know I wouldn't be happy if this personal grade were taken. I see Shepard or Ryder as an expansion of me, and that would be something I couldn't do with Liara. As much as I love their character and history, I don't want to lose the joy of becoming the main character and shaping it myself.

Unfortunately, we are still wondering who will be the playable main character for Mass Effect 5. Hopefully Bioware will feed us all hungry fans and reveal more of the game world, which awaits us and who we will play as. I personally hope that Shepard will return-the Mass Effect universe does not seem to be completely not entirely. But if the fan theories are right about Liara, we could end with a mass effect that gains a great protagonist but loses these extremely important RPG elements.

Ellie Kills Riley in The Last of Us - HBO Series Finale

The television program The Last of Us is in its last episodes, and HBO is not retaining anything. Until now, the program has expanded in multiple different notes of history in recent weeks, and this week was no different. Anyone who has played the DLC Left Behind knew he was approaching, but did not make it easier. As we mentioned in the other guide we publish about this week's episode, Storm Reid is a dead point for Riley and is based practically on all the senses with respect to his relationship with Ellie, even until he reaches his damn affliction shared. Then, let's answer the question if Ellie ends up killing Riley. Did Ellie killed Riley at The Last of Us from HBO? While it was apparently a lost opportunity, we don't really see the consequences of the respective bites of Riley and Ellie in episode 7 called Left Behind. But with a TDI this, most likely the answer is yes, Ellie kills Riley. How is a different question, although with a weapon it is probably a v...
