As a result, several delays are expected in upcoming games.
The Covid 19 pandemic has had far-reaching effects on all corners of the world, and the video game industry is no different. After the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe recently proclaimed the state of emergency in Tokyo in response to the situation, the Japanese Video Games Video Games (Computer Entertainment Rating Organization, Cero) has announced a complete suspension of services for a month.
Cero indicates that his work can not be carried out from afar and therefore exposed to all his works and activities from 8 April to 6 and that the announcement of the resumption of services will be made in due course on his website. This of course means that during this time no checking of games is carried out on certifications and even the titles currently being checked must be reset.
The effects are worth mentioning because certifications are a crucial component of the publication process of a game. Since the certifications are reset, we should expect similar delays, at least in the Japan region as with several games.
