Nintendo was normally (far) behind the curve in terms of online services and digital growth, but in recent years, things have turned to the Japanese Giants for a better. In their recent quarterly financial report, they revealed impressive numbers for their digital revenue.
In the third quarter of the 2019-20 financial year, Nintendo's digital revenue amounted to 124.9 billion yen, which corresponds to growth of 48 percent compared to the previous year. Nintendo leads to growth "the steady growth of sales with downloadable versions of software packages and pure download software for Nintendo Switch as well as to the contribution of Nintendo Switch Online".
Nintendo has also provided updated software and hardware sales at the end of 2019. The switch has now sold more than 52 million units worldwide (after exceeding the extradition duration of the Xbox One), and the company recorded impressive sales for this as of _Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Pokemon Sword and Shield, Luigi's Mansion 3, _ and more.
