People who play a lot more among quarantine rules and spend.
The world is just at a strange place. With the current pandemic of Covid-19 we see more people isolated, either as official quarantine rules or as suggestions of the legislator. As you can imagine, people use this time to catch up with their conversation such as films, television broadcasts and of course many video games. And those in the US play a lot of catching up at this front.
As reported on The Hollywood Reporter, Nielsen has begun to pursue the use of video games in their numbers (before focusing almost exclusively on TV switch-on rates). According to their numbers, which focused specifically on March 23 to 29, the US recorded a massive increase in using video games (45%) as well as expenses (39%).
Other countries recorded similar tips, but the United States were the largest in both margins with a rather decent amount, with France with 38% of the usage Front the only competition. Many, many people are playing video games.
