Epic Game Store seems to have lost a lot of money exclusively

Epic VS. The Apple's trial continued to give us interesting information. It seems like Epic Games lost about $ 130 million on the first 23 games they paid for exclusivity.

The Epic Games Store is a little black sheep since its creation. Console users are used to exclusives, but it's not something that really existed on the PC ecosystem to the Epic Games Store. It is safe to say that PC players have been less than satisfied with the perspective.

Really, it's just interesting to see how much they paid for exclusives and how much it cost them overall. It was clear that they would lose money on this strategy, at least in the short term, to capture some of the steam user base. We do not know if it worked well, but the idea certainly cost expensive.

Epic Games spent about $ 210 million exclusively but does not plan to recover that about $ 80 million from this investment. This is what is not called awesome. It seems that only two games have really reported money, while others have failed to repay the initial investment.

A look at Metro Exodus that shows how many of these exclusives have worked wrong. It seems that Epic Games paid $ 37 million for Metro Exodus, but there should be a shortfall of 22.2 million. This means that Metro Exodus achieved less than half of the expected income.

Of course, all this would do much hurt if Epic Games did not have strong. The first year of Fortnite reported $ 2.4 billion in its first year alone, according to Superdata. This amount of money hurts the brain.

It should be noted that Epic Games expects it to lose money on The Epic Game Store to start. Their current plan is to make the store profitable by 2023.

After a successful global launch on Xbox Series S | X and PC, Koch Media announced its intention to propose the game of psychological horror The Medium on PS5 in September. The most ambitious title of Bloober Team to date tells the history of the holder medium, Marianne, a young woman who can perceive and interact with the world of spirits and its inhabitants. His quest to find the origin of his powers takes him to an empty Polish hotel, where she soon discovers a straight mystery out of a nightmare. If she wants to survive, she must pierce a dark secret and find a way to face the mouth, an entity born of an unspeakable tragedy, before the monsters who live here do not devour it. The oppressive atmosphere of the new generation dual-reality gameplay was very welcome and The Medium recovered its development costs months ago, so it is not really surprising that a PS5 port was announced in the form of this elegant trailer.
